After twelve rounds, Cacace got the decision 118-110 and 117-111 twice. In the second preliminary bout, super welterweight Josh Kelly carded a decision win over late replacement Ishmael Davis. Kelly seemed to be on top for the majority of the fight, opening up a gap in the first few sessions. However, scorecards read a lot closer than expected as Davis came on strong in the final few rounds. One judge even carded a draw 114-114. The other two saw it for Kelly 115-113 and 115-114. Josh Padley shocked Wembley in the opening bout by dropping and defeating the big-punching Turki Alalshikh favorite Mark Chamberlain.
